現在分詞の後置修飾の導入場面

　人物、動物などの動作が描かれている一枚の絵を利用して現在分詞の後置修飾を導入した。

＜絵について＞

　休日の公園のようす（New Crown English Series �Aの"There is [are]"のピクチャーカードを利用）

サッカーをしている少年３人、本を読んでいる少年１人、イスのそばで眠っている猫１匹、木の下で話をしている少女２人、芝生の上を走っている犬１匹、昼食を食べている家族３人、塀の上に腰掛けて歌を歌っている少女１人、木にとまっている鳥２羽、空を飛んでいる鳥３羽

＜導入の流れ＞

絵を黒板に貼り付け、一つひとつ指で指し示しながら。

Look at this picture.

It's noon on Sunday.

It's very sunny.

You can see many people and animals.

They all look happy.

This is the boy reading a book.

This is the cat sleeping by the chair.

This is the dog running on the grass.

These are the girls talking under the tree.

These are the birds sitting in the tree.

These are the boys playing soccer.

　この後もう一度英文を一文ずつ読みながら、「この男の子は何をしているところ？」と確認しながら、後置修飾の意味を確認していった。

＜板　書＞

This is the boy reading a book. 　These are the girls talking under the tree.

名詞 ＋ 動詞ing 　〜している−

　また、既習の関係代名詞とも関連づけた。上記の文を関係代名詞"who"を使って書きかえさせた。

This is the boy ［who is］ reading a book. 　These are the girls [who are] talking under the tree.

　つぎの付け加えをしておいた。

"who is"、"who are"が省略されたものと考えていいです。

＜留意点＞

　自分自身、もっと工夫がほしいと感じた。現在進行形と関連させればよかったと思う。
